About this user

I am Daniel, Aged 16 (upon editing this profile text). I am, to define myself in a few words, a male Unitarian Universalist with Aspergers Syndrome (and political beliefs in some form of Liberal Democratic Eco-socialism).

I am, naturally, a very paranoid person. I often try to avoid "stepping on people's toes", metaphorically speaking, and am, thus, far too overly cautious with everything I do. I often find myself trying to please everyone yet, in the end, I find out I have pleased no-one.

I try to view two-sides-of-a-coin and, thus, am often told to have very controversial (sometimes even "twisted") views on morality or, in my eyes, a lack of it. I believe that everything has a reason to it, and we are not born innately good or evil, but it's a trait we learn and/or are taught throughout our lives. In that sense, I often view the concept of "evil" as a form of delusion. If people are taught that "wrong" is "right", and "right" is "wrong", then that is what (in my eyes) they will grow up to believe in. Anyway, I digress.

I am currently targeted (and getting) A's for Coursework/GCSEs. I find myself researching more into my interests in my spare time.

I hope, in the future, to follow a life of which I have already planned out vaguely:
Finish GCSEs with a vast numbers of A's and A*'s [in progress], Complete Sixth Form and A-Levels with top results, go to any university of which offers a variety of courses that interest me (most notably, an Anthropological, Political or Computer Programming course. Preferably, Oxford or Cambridge University), Graduate with excellent results, somehow immigrate to Sandeford (in Vestfold County, Norway - in which I hope to spend the rest of my life, and for it to be my final resting place), preferably get a job as an Anthropologist (preferably at a College/Uni, where my own projects can be funded) or Politician (Which I'll need a heck of alot more confidence for) and, finally, settle down with a partner and what wealth I may or may not gain.

It is a step-by-step plan that I've pondered over for quite a few years now, and so far I am gradually working my way towards it with steady progress (although, since learning of a life outside of computing, I seem to have been drifting from this course of action as of late).

I wish to learn about Norwegian, also, so if anyone is from Norway or can help teach me Norwegian - contact me.

Now onto my "religious" side. [I hope] I'm not going to go into great depths as to what a "Unitarian Universalist" is, rather, I'm going to inform people a little bit about how that affects my conversation with them:

First and foremost, as is the basis of the religion, I believe in a "free and responsible search for truth and meaning". In essence, that means I believe what I choose to believe in. I cannot be "converted", nor swayed; and I look negatively on the concept of "conversion".

Secondly, the concept of "Universalism" is basically that there is no condemnation. I believe in "The inherent worth and dignity of every person" - and that applies to everything. Race, Gender, Sexuality, Religion, Social Class; heck, even my views on Morality above are intertwined in this belief of mine. In that sense, I shun any form of Discrimination, Prejudice (to clarify, I do not claim I am impervious to prejudice - I simply claim to hate the concept overall; for those that believe that, inevitably, everyone in the world is prejudice) and negative Stereotyping/Labelling.

Thirdly, to a far lesser extent, although I am respectful of all religions, I have my own views on the concept of God (as, ofcourse, everyone does). The concept of "Unitarianism" is, basically, the unity (or "oneness") of God. I believe, effectively (and rather controversially, to many traditionalists), that there is one God. I would elaborate further on the concept of the divine prophets, but would rather not - for fear of offending any traditionalists.

A brief note on the concept of Socialism - without going into great detail; Communism is left-wing, Capitalism is right-wing. Communism is a form of Socialism where, by definition, the sharing of all funding equally amongst the populace (albeit, I and many other Socialists call it "State Capitalism"). Capitalism is, by definition, where people earn all their money, and leaves huge gaps of wealth between rich and poor. Socialism, in this sense, is (arguably) more of a world-wide concept rather than being restricted to one nation - in which wealth is distributed equally amongst the world's population. I tend to follow, generally, the WSM's notion of the abolishment of both the monetary system and the "free market".
