I'd love to see a sequel to this film, with Page facing off against some of his true peers - people like Keith Richards, Blackmore, or Pete Townsend. But, we all know those people would likely have trouble being in the same room with each other; rivalries going on for decades.

I've seen this happen at work. The ghetto crowd trying to drag down the more successful black co-workers by saying they were not black enough. I think some black people cannot tolerate the success of others.

@leppardsnake John Lord would beg to differ. Even he has admitted recently that this wasn't really Deep Purple, and the only reason they kept the name was a business decision. The band had originally decided it was over when Blackmore left, but they pressed on. And after Bolin resigned it was over.

Great song, great band, but stupid comments below. The beauty about a guy like Marc Bolan was that he was above politics and social screeds. I guess most of the people posting didn't bother to notice that. Maybe they didn't bother to listen to his music.

@KIDAmnesiacBends NOT INFLUENCED BY THE DOORS. Seriously, do you think the Doors invented reverb-drenched, atmospheric vocals? A lot of stuff sounded like that in the late 60's. Comparisons between the two bands, outside of their mutual influences are shallow, at best.
