I got a Roomba robot vacuum to handle the hair in between my regular weekly cleanings. Even so the Roomba itself has to be cleaned out every couple of days as the hair gets tangled up into the machinery. It IS a tremendous amount of hair but these are wonderful dogs with incredible personalities....

You could also paint the "green man" dark green all over and then, once it's dry, brush or sponge the lighter-colored highlights onto the higher contours. Might be a slightly different look.
