The company Dipl.-Ing. Dr. E. Vogelsang has been founded in Recklinghausen by declaration and registration into the commercial register in the year 1925.

In the beginning Dr. Ernst Vogelsang has dealt with commercial representations in various fields of industry, especially in the area of protection against corrosion for steel pipelines.
It was just in these days that he has been working on own developments and inventions, e.g. in the section of spring cover protection for the automobile industry.

The years of building up after the second world war and the economical upturn after overcoming the post-war-time required the construction of an infra-structure in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The section of gas, water and electricity required durable isolating and sealing systems as well as products for the protection against corrosion in a vast area.
Since 1951 it has been attempted to fulfil these requirements by the construction of own production plants in Recklinghausen.

After a few years it became evident that the location in the centre of Recklinghausen was no more sufficient for respecting the requirements of the markets in expansion.
The entrepreneurial planning, the intense occupation with new products made of plastics, became mature. The idea of a production of pipes of PVC rigid was born. The realisation of such a project however has only been possible in another location. With the neighbour town, Herten, an area has been found where the ideas could gradually be realized. The transmission of the production plant and the administration service to Herten has been carried out in approximately 5 years and has been finished in the beginning of the 60s.
The following times were characterized by a continuous technical development. The macroeconomic evolution in the section of gas, water and electricity supply as well as telecommunications required a spatial extension combined with the further structural expansion.

Beside the original production section (corrosion protection and cable protection of PVC-U) new products have been faced, for example pressure pipes of PVC-U. The time was characterized by a continuous extension in the area of special products.

thumb_halle_neuSince 1984 national and international markets require in addition to the section PVC, an extension of the product range. Cable protection pipes, pressure and drinking water pipes of PE-HD and further special tubes have been incorporated into the production range. We have faced these new tasks, and we were able to offer to our customer an advanced program also in the section of PE-HD.

Newest technological knowledge of the pipe production and development processes could have been realized in a production unit for PVC rigid and pipes of PE-HD, constructed with the adjacent buildings in 1988, in an exemplary industrial architecture that is pointing the way, by respecting the requirements, demanded of suitable jobs and eco-friendly production systems. Our administration building that has also been finished in 1988 adapts itself to our business philosophy.
It has been several times confirmed by various compartment committees, for example architect competitions that we were on the right way.

bueroIn the year 1993 the Technical Centre has been constructed. Here we got the possibility to realize our innovations by means of research programs, developed by scientific findings by means of state-of-the-art computer engineering. Our own workshops with the newest technology help us to create the conditions of production of this development. A laboratory, equipped in the most modern way, is supporting our destination route.

The knowledge and the experience gained on the German market in decades brought us to develop new markets and to build up new resources on the international level. Today Dipl.-Ing. Dr. E. Vogelsang is cooperating with 13 European partners and supplies her products vastly beyond the European frontiers.
