About Me:
Some information:
I am right handed and I play open handed style with the french grip technique (I try to at least) :P. The kit I currently am using is a custom built Jobeky. I use a DW 9000 double kick pedal. I use a variety of different VST's to help my sound with my recordings. Currently I am using Superior Drummer 2.0.
To answer some common questions I receive:
Why do you use electronic drums?
I have an acoustic drum kit, but I have had to stop using it due to noise constraints. I have been using an electronic drum kit for a few years and absolutely love how easy it is to get professional sounding recordings so easily out of it. I prefer to play on an acoustic set, but for recording purposes and noise purposes, I'll take an electronic kit any day.
What do you use to make the drums sound so good?
I am using a Roland TD-12 module, but the module isn't producing the sound. The sound is routed from the module into my computer which then uses a software application called Superior Drummer by Toontrack to generate the sound.
How do you make collaborations?
We all play along to the same MP3 and record ONLY our instrument. From there we all send the video to whomever will be doing the video editing. We typically use Sony Vegas to do all of our video editing. The audio tracks from all the recordings will go to whoever does the audio mixing. I personally use Cakewalk Sonar to do my mixing and I utilize Izotope Ozone along with a variety of other plugins to help EQ the tracks. After the video editing and audio mixing are done, they are combined together, and we have the collaboration. For a fast collaboration project it typically takes around a month for it all to be done...and that is if everyone does their own part quickly. Some of our collaborations have taken over 9 months to complete.
Will you do a collaboration with me?
I am very busy with work, school, and prior collaboration engagements, but if you are talented on your instrument and have the ability to make very good quality recordings, I just might help you out!

Movies:
I couldn't pick a favorite movie. But the ones that always spring first to mind are Conspiracy Theory and You've Got Mail. Those are two great movies.
In regards to TV shows:
South Park, Prison Break, Lost, Heroes, Family Guy, The Office, The IT Crowd, American Idol, Nip/Tuck, Scrubs, Chuck, Pushing Daisies, How I Met Your Mother...and yes, I have been known to watch The Girls Next Door on occasion. O:)
Music:
I love oldies in regards to music. Like Beach Boys, Mamas and the Papas, etc. But then again, I love pretty much any type of music with the exception of most rap and R&B. I like some of the harder stuff as well, like Slipknot, Metallica, and things along those lines. You might even catch me listening to Britney Spears as well, because I am a big Britney fan. :P I'm not ashamed to admit it! I love alot of her songs!
Books:
I rarely read books, but the last one I read and enjoyed was The Count of Monte Cristo. I have also read books like the Lord of the Ring trilogy, and things of that sort. I used to be an AVID reader of Hank the Cowdog when I was a kid. I loved it.

I have a question, what kind of Electric drums did you use in your heartshaped box video? They sound really good, im thinking of buying a set.
