Eragon E-Factor Competition: Terms and Conditions
1. Competition closes at 00:00 UK time on Thursday 7th December, 2006.
2. Competition open to those aged 13 and over and resident in the UK. Those entrants under 16 must possess legal parental or guardian consent.
3. Only one entry per person may be entered into the competition. Any duplicate entries will be removed from the competition. Use of false name or email address (i.e. a name by which the entrant is not usually known, or age) will disqualify them from receiving the prize. Proof of identity and age will be required.
4. No purchase necessary. Enter on-line at www.youtube.com/profile?user=EragonRedCarpet .
5. Promoter will not be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an eligible entrant's ability to participate.
6. Competition is not open to employees of Promoter and New Media Maze including their families, agents or any other person connected with the competition's administration. Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entries which it deems, at its sole discretion, to contravene the spirit of the promotion.
7. A panel of judges will select the winner from those entries uploaded on www.youtube.com that are the most original and entertaining. The winner will be contacted by e-mail or phone no later than 7th December 2006. Entrants agree to Promoter using their email or phone number for this purpose. If, for whatever reason, it is not reasonably possible to contact a winner, or if no waiver as described in paragraph 11 is provided, an alternative winner may be selected.
8. The winner will receive an opportunity to interview Ed using a film crew appointed by Twentieth Century Fox, 2 tickets for the Eragon film premiere on 11th December 2006, first class travel from a UK location to and from London by train, transfers in central London and standard accommodation for one night in central London based on two people sharing a twin/double room on bed and breakfast basis. Insurance, spending money and additional hotel charges (such as bar bills and telephone) are not included. If the winner is under 18 years of age, they must be accompanied by an adult.
9. Promoter and/or New Media Maze reserve the right to disqualify and/or remove any entry which is not in accordance with the entry restrictions. At all times, Promoter's and/or New Media Maze's decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. Promoter and/or New Media Maze reserve the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the competition (including altering prizes) if, in our sole discretion, a competition is not capable of being conducted as specified.
11. Winner must agree to their name and general location being used for publicity purposes by Promoter in any and all media. Winner agrees to, to the extent permitted by law, waive and release Promoter from any claims which you may have now or in the future against Promoter in relation to the competition however they may arise. Winner will be required to sign a waiver of liability on terms acceptable to Promoter (such waiver to be provided by a parent or guardian if the winner is under 18).
12. The winning interview will be shown on www.youtube.com.
13. Entry is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions.
14. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
15. The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by English law.
16. The promoter is Twentieth Century Fox Film Company Ltd, 31/32 Soho Square, London W1D 3AP ("Promoter").
