The Environmental Defense Center is a non-profit, public interest law firm and advocacy organization working to advance environmental conservation and restoration.

EDC protects and enhances the local environment through education, advocacy and legal action.

Since 1977 we have empowered community based organizations to advance environmental protection. Our program areas include protecting the coast and ocean, open spaces and wildlife, and human and environmental health. EDC primarily works within Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties.
