  @xBellaKate: I am just careful as to not leave oil on the strings. It's a good idea to wipe down the keyboard and your hands with a soft cloth to remove oils and sweat, etc, as they can cause the strings to rust over time, I understand.

Great plugin trick with PS, but it's so painless to change colours in GIMP. I could have done in 5 seconds what took you probably 20 minutes. Maybe there's a global by-colour colourise in PS, too. It's such a time saver.
