i don't what to say about myself. i basically devote my life to steam railroading. but it's about all that keeps me going everyday. my great grandfather on my fathers side of the family was a fireman for the B&O. needless to say, steam railroading runs in my blood. i am lucky to have friends in this hobby that share the same passion for steam locomotives as much as i do. i have ran into some people i could not trust, they are now just a vanished memory. i have ran 79 locomotives in my life. two full size locomotives. a narrow gauge shay, and a gp-9 switcher. one diesel is not gonna make a difference to me. im known as Steam Engine Dan The Railroad man. this title is all of what im about. and always will be. not sports, no cars. no women. just a machine that keeps my blood flowing. i eat drink, sleep and breathe this mighty machine that made our country what it is now.

collecting coal from tourist lines and abandoned yards, tracks, wyes and stations and running steam locomotives. especially my dad's 1.5 scale 7 1/4 inch gauge, coal fired New York Central Hudson locomotive, 5344.
