Video Transcription starts below:
The Feed In Tariff, or FIT as it is commonly known, was introduced in April 2010 primarily as an incentive to encourage greater use of solar PV technology throughout the UK. When investing in solar PV, the Feed in Tariff will provide you with an opportunity to benefit financially in not just one but three differing ways:
Firstly, you'll be paid by your energy supplier for every unit of electricity you generate, in most residential systems, each unit you generate will earn you forty three point three pence per unit, that's almost four times the rate you would normally pay for electricity, that's a big positive change in the relationship between you and your energy supplier.
Secondly, every unit of home produced power you use means that you won't have to buy electricity from your normal supplier, and as the cost of energy inevitably increases, so does the value of that saving. And finally, as a reward for doing for your bit in supporting the UK's growing need for the supply of cleaner, greener energy, any energy you don't use will be automatically bought back by your supplier.
Lets look at some figures for a typical PV installation using The Energy Conservation Group's unique remote monitoring system. This shows that the system has produced three thousand, siz hundred and sixty two kilowatt hours of electricity since it was installed, so that means the owner will have been paid one thousand, five hundred and forty five pounds from the Feed in Tariff scheme in just over a year and would have saved approximately three hundred pounds from their electrity.
The larger the solar PV system, the greater the efficiencies and resulting economies, this combined with the substantial savings on your electricity bill and additional payments for unused power make the installation of a solar PV system one of the highest yielding guaranteed investments available; giving investment returns of up to 10% gross evivalent or more, and you'll be doing your bit for a cleaner greener world.

thanks for letting us clear that up. The Energy Conservation Group
Solar PV panels have been powering orbital satellites since the 1960's. The technology is simple and designed to work for at least 25 years. yes, the panel performance does deteroriate over 25 years but top quality panels (like the ones we deploy) are guaranteed to drop by no more 0.75% per year. that means that after 25 years they should still be producing 82% of the power they generated on day one....and over that time the value of the energy they produce will have increases by substantially more than that, so their productivity in value terms increases exponentially. yes, they do need cleaning to help them maintain performance.......... but thats as apparent as the need to clean windows. a point we make clear to all our customers.
