HOT DOG MENTALITY

When it comes to teaching others responsibility and life skills, Derrick Hayes has proven he's one of the top speakers who can deliver.

From his college days at Tennessee State University where he started his business as a freshman with three packs of hot dogs. Selling them to hungry students, Hot Dog Heaven was founded. Paying his way through college with Hot Dogs gave Derrick the inspiration he needed to begin teaching other people how to run a business.

Derricks upbeat, educational and inspiring programs are geared to show people how they y can use their given talents to start their own business, overcome the challenges that they will face along the way and to take advantage of opportunities that come their way.

From the Nashville Urban League to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Derrick is bringing new perspectives and ideas on how to succeed in America irregardless of your economic background. His most sought after program, The Power of Positive Thinking , helps people change the way they think so that they will see that it's not what happens to you, it's how you react to what happens to you.

Derrick is called on to deliver workshops and keynotes at meetings, rallies, conferences, conventions, college assembly programs, summer camps and high school assemblies.

Some of his clients include: U.S. Department of Commerce, Auburn University, Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee State University, Nashville Public Schools, Alabama Department of Corrections, Mississippi State 4-H Club, Brown Sanders College, Bauder College, Bowie State University, Jackson State University, AIU Buckhead, Georgia Pacific, Georgia Power, Tennessee Childcare Facilities Corporations, Georgia State University, and Georgia Department of Human Resources.

Derrick Hayes is the author of two books. Derricknyms From A to Z and he co-authored Can Hip Hop Be Holy? Everyone has a gift and once you find it you can unwrap it and open it up to the world.
