I love to read (especially when I'm reading something of my own choosing), write poetry and essays, blog, make simple beaded jewelry, play the piano and my beautiful cello (named Hamlet), listen to music, play with my makeup, paint my nails, and watch television.
Movies:
My favorite tv show of all time is Homicide. My Homicide DVDs lull me to sleep every night. Some of my favorite movies are Eve's Bayou, Amelie, Pan's Labyrinth, and Something New.

Books:
I think my favorite novel ever is Tayib Salih's Season of Migration to the North. Toni Morrison's Love is absolutely stunning; she can expose the beauty and intricacy of human frailty like no one else.
