To further complicate the dispute, I read an interview with Keith Relf from 1975. In it the interviewer says that Page acknowledged that the song came from an earlier Yardbirds recording, but Keith but whatever reason denied it.

Interesting trivia: The last time Relf and Page ever talked to each other was during the recording of this album. Physical Graffiti was being recorded in the room next to them.

Wow, did Mickey Most have any idea what the Yardbirds were about? Maybe if he recorded their cover of "Im Waiting for the Man" instead the Yardbirds career might've been salvaged. Most captured the grit and the edge of the Animals and Jeff Beck but why not these guys?
