In July of 2005 the original Emmett's Made Fresh opened for business in a small shack on West Main Street in Lehi, Utah. The owners, Scott and Nancy Litke were convinced that with 23,000 cars going by every day at just over 15 miles per hour and good food made fresh, success would be certain.

Emmett's & Ethel's still maintains their philosophy of all things being made fresh featuring Gourmet Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, Fresh Cut French Fries, Hand Breaded Onion Rings, and hand cut / hand breaded Halibut Fish n Chips. Added to the new menu was Chicken, Turkey, Pastrami, and Halibut sandwiches and the Ethel's Premium Ice Cream which includes ice cream parlor style sundaes (served in real glass dishes) and over the top milk shakes in literally hundreds of flavors.

Those who come in or bring in someone named Emmett or Ethel are rewarded with free lunch, a t-shirt and their picture on the wall of fame at the store and on the website.
