Hello. my name is Emma but I like to be known as Emmy and I perform under the names Emmy or "The Bish" ! I was born in Peterborough on 8 Aug 1979. At the age of 18,after making friends at college with someone who played guitar, I took up playing the acoustic guitar, studying from books paricularly The Complete Guitar Player books 1 to 4. I have always love listening to music but after I started playing guitar, my interest in music strengthened. From there I realised that I could sing half decent. In 2008, I began to make my first attempts at writing songs. I have memories of trying to write songs as a child but back then they were pretty awful. Now as I think they are sorta okay, I decided to record them. The songs you now hear are a result of my efforts since 08.

My music is influenced by my Christian faith, that developed after visiting a Christian church. If you listen to my song "A picture of Jesus" you'll also hear another part of my story...some things that happened before I really knew what it means to be a Christian and before I stepped into church life.

Everyone has a past too obviously and some stuff happened in mine that I may mention in a song or two.

Heres some other trivia: I have two siblings, I love my dog (see pic) - a Lhasa Apsos though on a technical level i guess she belongs to my folks, and I've been vegetarian for years but gave it all up at McDonalds this year and had a chicken burger...I'm now eating white meat again.
