-Mexico is America's third largest trade partner and its third supplier of oil.

-Mexico receives around 23 million tourists a year which makes it the 10th most visited country in the world.

-Mexico embarked on a national infrastructure program worth 150 billion dollars that started in 2007 and will end in 2012.

-Mexico leads Latin America in renewable energies and has two nuclear reactors producing almost 5% of the country's electricity.

-Some Mexican multinational companies are: America Movil (telecom) Grupo Modelo (beer), Mabe (appliances), Televisa (media), Cemex (cements), Grupo Bimbo (bakery), Gruma (food), Comex (paints), Grupo Mexico (mining), Pemex (oil).

-Mexico has hosted two FIFA World Cups and the Olimpic Games.
