About Learn. Connect. Embrace.
Started in 2008, Embracing America is an ongoing project put together by local Arizona filmmakers and artist who care about the past, present and future of Arizona and the Nation.
Arizona is ground zero for the national immigration discussion. Given the level of controversy, it isnt merely sufficient to dispense news—such an emotionally charged issue requires active mediation and community involvement.
We are tired of band-aids, lack of action from the federal government, the mainstream media's sensationalism, political agendas that don't benefit or include the working class, and misunderstandings due to lack of honest communication and conscious listening.
Our mission is to present a wide range of perspectives on how people are impacted by the issue of immigration, so that we can bridge the divides. We are not here to victimize or vilify. We seek to raise the level of insight and discussion in order to collectively find solutions and learn from one another.
We aim to create an in-depth and non-partisan multimedia discussion, that is why we need YOUR participation.
Embracing America is the Voice of the People. Our Philosophy is Seek to Understand Before you are Understood.
