Yeah, Japan really is fully mature with its stuff compared to 90% of the other countries. (Except for the Tokyo mayor who I believe is now a special ed kid for dumbing himself down with bullshit he started since 2009). Hopefully many other countries should finally drop their pointless censorship in the next 100 years after multiple catastrophic events happen.

Well it's because Japan has different standards than the USA. Having violent stuff like that for kids doesn't bother the Japanese like it bothers the USA. They do censor things here and there. When they were adapting Naruto into an anime, they changed Gato's death. As for the swearing, there was never really any swearing, Just depends on how you translate. I don't recall there being swearing in the Japanese, just a rude way of saying stuff. Whatever gets translated as "I'm going to kick your ass!" could also translate to "I'm going to kick your butt!" or something corny like "I'm going to clobber you!"
