The Elgin Choral Union formed in 1947 as an association of 15 choirs for a grand performance of Brahms' Requiem.
The Elgin Choral Union is the oldest performing arts organization in the Fox Valley, under the direction of Andrew Lewis. Our 110+ member chorus is a not-for-profit organization and is an In-Residence Ensemble at the Elgin Community College Visual and Performing Arts Center in Elgin, IL.
Our programming includes master choral works and contemporary composition along with the commissioning of several world premieres.
