I do not work often on hydros but I have worked on Dovers 60's to 80's.
Have your maintenance man check the up leveling selector switch located in shaftway. If that is not the problem adjust your up leveling adjustment screw or needle ( makes the car come slower or faster into the floor) valve located under the tank. Hope this helps.
