@ScottTart I believe Henry Fonda was cast in that role, and was miscast in it. Peter Ustinov would definitely have been better than Fonda.

When you declare war against society by shooting that many rounds at the cops, I'm not surprised the cops refused Matasareanu medical attention and let him bleed to death. I watched it on TV and I knew when it happened that the cops were going to let him die. It looked pretty obvious. Matasareanu...

I saw this on live TV when it was happening. I had just turned it on and was flipping through the channels when I came upon this shootout. Those two guys had robbed banks before this happened, and were even once pulled over by the police, but unfortunately, the cops didn't know it was these guys ...

I've watched over a dozen police chases in S. Cal on TV and not once did I ever see a cop jump on the hood of the suspects car after the chase ended and then start firing directly at the driver.

This was a great flick. It was ironic that Francesca told her husband Richard that he was only allowed to smoke filtered cigarettes, yet she ends up smoking a couple of Camel non filtered cigs while he's away. Thx Fav up uploading this film on here.
