But what it ALL boils down to is that God created this universe. That Jesus Christ, being God ánd man, died to save our eternal lives. That the Bible is the Word of God.

Moral Absolutes

The existence of God can not be proven by the scientific method. But that doesn't mean it can not be proven. Common sense is a usefull tool as well. And the existence of moral absolutes presents in my humble opinion a watertight case for the existence of (a) God: when life is a result of causality, moral is as well. Then what is moral? If we are here by random chance, moral can only be determined by us human beings and is therefore based on nothing but majority of opinion.

What if Hitler had won the war? The majority of people would grow up believing Jews, gypsies, black people, mentally challenged people and homosexuals are sub-human, not worthy of life. Where the majority holds this opinion, this would be the moral position to have. Who can say it is wrong and where would they base it on? If you are an atheist, you can not say that that society would BE immoral. It would just be your opinion, nothing more. In fact, people of 'the resistance' would have been immoral. This poses the question: is moral a mere human product or not? If the answer is yes, it would be based on majority of opinion and the example given would apply. If not, well...
