@MrsDogLover I didn't express that well. I meant not to in other recordings. I read her description, and it pained me that an artist with a good voice would have to stipulate that this song "had no pitch correction." Why do any of them? Talented singers should resist the urge on all of their work.

@sjrwilliams71 Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum probably wrote & recorded it just for the film. He ended up doing a good deal of instrumental work on the soundtrack, as well as picking out most of the songs on it. It was a last-minute favor for Kevin Smith, who is a personal friend.
