Terribly sad news about Gary Speed, he came over always as a really nice bloke. No ego trip, no chip on shoulder. Really decent, down-to-earth fella and that makes this all the harder to comprehend. His family must be absolutely devastated.

I flew to Singapore in a VC10 in April 1968 where I was then based at Seletar for 35 months. The flight back was also a VC10. Magnificent aircraft to fly in. We flew via Cyprus - Bahrain - The Maldives then RAF Changi.

You guys are living in cuckoo land - anyone with a minor amount of skill with PhotoShop can make a soup dish look like a silly "ooo look a UFO about to kill us all" - why is there never a video camera around - it's always a still. Don't think so.

@tkenni - you can only shank an iron (ball is stuck in the small curve where the club head and shaft are connected) usually caused because you're standing too close to the ball - and the shank sends the ball out at about 30 degrees away from you - off target.
