    2004 Acura TSX 6-speed 0-60

0-60 in 04 TSX 6-speed. Intake only mod

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

This video makes me miss my old 2005 6MT.

    Some things I don't miss:

    1. The irritating rev hang (shown in the vid)

    2. The tall gear ratios especially the 1-2 upshift

I was able to fix #2 by swapping the gears, but it was undependable as hell after that. I'm still considering picking up a 2nd ge...

Jordan interview re: one on one contest vs Magic

From Lakers road pregame show, aired 2-20-1990 (originally produced for BSPN's "Up Close With Roy Firestone" -- Roy hosted both shows at the time).

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

@edscottable - don't you love it when kids assume the 1991 Lakers/Magic were the same as the 85 or 87 squad? Diet, conditioning, and off season programs were still the dark ages in the 80s. Combine that with the fact Magic was 6'9" and played point guard on a fast break team that made it too the ...

Wow. Great find! That strike really robbed the Raiders of lots of things and eventually led to the resignation(firing) of Flores and the demise of Rusty Hilger. It probably would've ended up as a 10-6 season after seeing how they started.

You can already see the effects of the neglect on the off...

Magic Loses Michael Jordan and No Look Pass to Vlade Divac Dunk vs.Bulls [03-02-91]

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

@BigTimePride - agreed. The 80s were very competative and it had several legendary teams. I always like to ask a similar questions to the one you asked: What if Jordan and Magic exchanged eras?

What if Magic's teams faced the 90s Knicks, Suns, Blazers, Jazz and Sonics? And Jordan had the 80s pl...

The 1986 California Angels Win the AL West

A collection of old pictures showing the fans making their way on the field in 1986 as the Angels clinch the AL West playing the Texas Rangers.

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

I don't think I ever remember a packed house at the "Big A" when I was a kid. Even the footage here in a big home game has empty seats in the outfield.

Was the capacity just too much for baseball? Its hard to imagine how it was at the LA Coluseium!

Thanks for the video. Very rare footage -- great finds! Thanks for not recycling the same Magic highlights that are floating around from NBA TV and others.

Penny Hardaway (Magic) Tomahawk Dunk Around Michael Jordan off Gerald Wilkins Steal vs.Bulls

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

@Domini478 - there's no such thing as someone guarding another player the ENTIRE game. You're probably too young to have witnessed any of the epic battles when the Bulls would play the Hawks.

You didn't answer my question: He can handle Bird in the post? And Magic?

I'm curious to know how he a...

@hangtime23ful - good discussion regarding the Bulls' competition not having a center. As someone who watched the NBA since the early 80s, I've got to admit they never faced a big-time center such as Kareem, Hakeem, and Shaq in his prime. The other guys mentioned were good, but not guys who can g...

Magic Johnson No Look Pass to AC Green vs.Bulls

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

@pastorfw - that's a tough one. Lakers didn't have homecourt advantage and their athletisism was already in decline in the previous season.

A full-strength Laker squad in '89 does win in 5 to 7 games. I don't think the Pistons get swept by them -- they were just too good. It was discussed in an...

    Bird schooling Jordan

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

@MerkinMuffy - great video. I'm a Lakers fan and I HATED Larry Bird.

Larry Bird was the complete OPPOSITE of MJ. Never did anything just for the highlight reel. Just did whatever it took to win even if it didn't make Sportscenter.

Does Marcus Allen receive "the cold shoulder" during this pregame interview session with other Raider Greats?

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

@raiders247online - I remember watching this live (before we got our asses handed to us by Baltimore) and do remember a lot more akwardness when Allen was giving Plunkett the microphone. For some reason, I'm not seeing it as much in this clip.

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

Yeah, Elway threw a very hard pass with a tight spiral, but it wasn't until he was able to put more touch on his throws did he start completing a higher percentage.

JORDAN PIPPEN - THE BEST DUO EVER

Clip de MJ et Pippen sur la musique de Common "Be"

    Edd1e8 Edd1e8 commented:

@ERP924 - I hear ya in regards to MJ's impact on the game. Before his prime, in the 80s, kids envied Magic. I HATED playing ball in the 90s when kids would imitate Jordan: show boating, ballhogging, etc. Everyone just concentrated on dunks and highlight reels.

@dredae76 - I'm a Laker's fan and I admit I liked the Penny/Shaq duo better. Kobe & Shaq were just 2 great players on the court while Penny & Shaq fed off each other more.
