The Entrepreneurial Development & Assistance Center (EDAC) created W.O.M.E.N. out of the need to further promote the efforts of women that received services from EDAC.
The mission of W.O.M.E.N. (Women Owned & Managed Enterprise Network) is to create a network of resources that support women in developing and retaining competitive enterprises.
As a result of the growing demand of women needing small business services, the staff at EDAC and the W.O.M.E.N.'s National Advisory Council are putting
plans together to make the W.O.M.E.N.'s Conference a traveling university with stops at historically black colleges and universities (hbcu) across the country.
