I am Paul Ferrer = Pavel Zhelezarski (a pseudonym) -- an American man of Slavic (BULGARIAN) ancestry. I love history (foremost of all military, as well as the one of the Orthodox Christian Church) and music of different genres, but especially folk music from the Slavic nations in Central and Eastern Europe, from both the Slavic and non-Slavic nations in the Balkans (Southeastern Europe), Iberia, and Latin America. I am also a MODERATE environmentalist, strongly interested in a cornucopia of issues within the realm of ecology.
I would like to see all conflicts resolved via peaceful means, and support fervently the dissemination of TRUE HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE. I am especially interested in the preservation of the Slavic cultures, and above all of the culture of the Bulgarians from the Balkan subregions of Moesia, Thrace, and Macedonia, as well as of the ones in Russia and Ukraine.
I sympathize with JUST causes, including the ones of the Armenians, the Cypriot and Pontic Greeks, as well as the ones of the Kurds, the Ossetians, and the South Koreans.
As a descendant of Bulgarians from the Balkan provinces of Macedonia and Shopsko-Moravsko-Timoshko, who have been subjected to assimilatory (de-Bulgarization) policies, I am understandably concerned with the status of the Bulgarian ethnos there.
I condemn the unceasing anti-Bulgarian propaganda campaign, maintained by the Bulgarophobic and racist circles of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM-Skopje) and their friends and allies, the Bulgar-hating Turkish chauvinists.
It was the ancestors of the contemporary Turkish chauvinists, who massacred almost the entire population of a Bulgarian village in the region of Thrace during the 1876 ANTI-BULGARIAN GENOCIDE - one of many that the Turks have subjected the Bulgarians to. In the ranks of the few survivors was a baby, whose parents were decapitated by Turkish soldiers. Years later, this young Bulgarian emigrated to the USA, and became an engineer. His son, the American physicist Dr. John Atanasoff, 1903--1995, is the "FATHER OF THE MODERN COMPUTER" (the progenitor of the automatic electronic digital computer, designed in 1939). Ironically, the BULGAR-HATERS today use with pleasure and gloating in their ANTIBULGARIAN PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN the device invented by an American scientist of Bulgarian origin.
I would like to remind my friends that the Bulgarians of Balkan Bulgaria (a nation founded between 632 and 681 A.D.) have been the victims of NUMEROUS HORRIFIC GENOCIDES by the TURKS since the 1300's. THE TURKS HAVE KILLED ABOUT 20 MILLION INNOCENT BULGARIAN CIVILIANS in the course of 500 years, among them some of my relatives in Macedonia. The people of BULGARIAN ANCESTRY can forgive, but cannot forget. May the souls of the TENS OF MILLIONS OF HELPLESS VICTIMS OF TURKISH BARBARITY in Europe, Asia, and Africa rest in peace...
For the origins of the modern Bulgarians of the Balkan subregions of Moesia, Thrace, and Macedonia, as well as other Europeans, see the results of one of the last genetic studies at: http://i43.tinypic.com/2cz4x2f.jpg. The analysis of the relevant table, including the Caucasoid haplogroups of the Bulgarians' gene pool, reveal that the Bulgarians are as follows: Slavic - 47%, Celto-Germanic - 22%, and Mediterranean-Armenoid (Thracian, Graeco-Roman, and Proto-Bulgar) - 31%.
The Macedonian Bulgarians, i.e., the Bulgarians whose roots can be traced to the Balkan subregion of Macedonia, ought not to be confused with the so called "ethnic Macedonians" of FYROM-Skopje. The FAKE and RACIST "ethnic Macedonians" are actually descendants of Bulgarian RENEGADES, who have intermarried with Gypsies, Vardariot Turks, Pecheneg Turks, Kuman Turks, Yuruk Turks, Osmanli Turks, Vlachs, and Serbs. No wonder the Bulgar-hating FAKE "ethnic Macedonians" love the TURKISH CHAUVINISTS so much. According to a controversial, but praised by the FYROM "ethnic Macedonians" iGENEA research, at least 5% of their genes are of HUNNIC (TURKIC) origin.
A WARNING to all haters of the BULGARIAN people, and especially the most virulent BULGAROPHOBES - the TURKISH CHAUVINISTS and their friends, the RACIST FYROM-Skopje "ethnic Macedonians": The most vulgar or offensive of your comments can be deleted. These are the people, i.e., the TURKISH CHAUVINISTS and their allies, the FYROMian MACEDONISTS, who spread lies and fabrications about the existence of modern "ethnic Macedonians" (supposedly heirs to Alexander the Great's ancient Macedonians) and conduct intensive and multifacetted anti-Bulgarian propaganda.
NO to TURKISH CHAUVINISM, NEOOTTOMANISM, and PANTURKISM !
NO to FYROM-Skopje RACISM and MACEDONISM !
FYROM-Skopje and her friend Turkey do not deserve membership in the European Union and NATO. Turkey - a current NATO member - ought to be expelled from it !
