Plus, I measured that ABS router mount and on my model it is almost 3 inches thick.Good luck flexing that!
So, a few weeks later and sure enough, the starter cord broke. Not the recoil assembly, but the cheap cotton cord. I made the mistake of removing the recoil assembly nut and the whole thing unwound. I found a way to rewind the coil, but I also bought a $20 backup recoil assembly on eBay direct from you guessed it, China. First thing I'm going to do is replace the rope. See user 'dieselgeneratorparts' or 'xuanxuanparts' on eBay
Had mine for a week, then the pull cord broke starting it...even though I tried to be gentle, the engine fired and snapped the cheap cotton cord. I would recommend you first swap out the cheap cotton cord for a good strong nylon type. It's easy, but don;t remove the recoil nut, just follow the directions on youtube videos to replace and rewind the cord only. Oh, you can buy the whole recoil assembly on ebay for 20 bucks.
Looks like you used straight gas - I have a newer Power Pro Technology 1000 watt that looks identical except for the paint color and it says right on the gas cap 32:1 - 2 cycle needs oil!
