Believe me, I don't want to learn Spanish either. However, it is a graduation requirement that you take (and pass) two consecutive years of a foreign language here. I chose Spanish, being it the most prevalent. I wanted to switch to Latin for my second year of foreign language, because the teacher is awesome. However, you have to take 2 consecutive years of the SAME foreign language, so I had to stick with Spanish or have to take Latin 2 my senior year. For the record, if I had to pick, I want to learn german! :D
