Most gospel fans discovered Earnest Pugh with his 2009 hit single "Rain on Us," but he was honing his music ministry long before his first No. 1 Billboard Hot Gospel Songs hit. The Memphis, Tenn., native released his first solo project in 2006.

Pugh shows off all he has learned on his fourth release, "Earnestly Yours," in stores Tuesday. With traditional worship music at its core, the 12-track project is saturated with triumphant choir tunes and reflective ballads that keep in step with his latest single, "I Need Your Glory."

The former member of O'Landa Draper & the Associates offers an a cappella rendition of "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and performs some of his best up-tempo work on the victorious "You Deserve It."

Pugh adds his own spin to Keith Pringle's 1985 classic "Perfect Peace," also covered by Marvin Sapp and James Grear, and he goes modern with a tad of auto tune on "He Already Knows," featuring Lisa Knowles.

"I Need Your Glory" has already climbed the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Top 20. It looks like this gospel music "newcomer" has another hit on his hands.
