The Treaty of Paris was signed on the 18th April by France, West Germany, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

The Treaty established the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC) and came into effect on 23rd July 1952.

It brought vital Economic and political stability to Europe.
Previously bitter enemies were now sharing production of Steel and Coal.

The Treaties of Rome were signed by the same Nations on the 25th of March 1957 and established the European Economic Community (ECC) and Eurotom when it came into effect on 1st January 1958.


The Treaty of Maastricht was signed on the 7th of February 1992 and created the EU.

Comprising 27 countries, and 23 languages, with a population of half a billion, it is the largest economy on Earth with a GDP of over 18 trillion....

The largest exporter and importer..and biggest donor of aid.

We must now have a European Federation! For the good of all Europeans.
