@studdgage Semantics. Provided they were of the same compound (often, carting tires are of a soft compound designed for racing, considering you don't drive carts on the road), they would have the exact same amount of grip.

@steve142857 You've probably seen mostly, if not all GT500's without an aluminium block. 2011 GT500's stock, with street tires, will do 12.2 seconds in the 1/4 mile. With slicks, well, I'll let you see for yourself:

You do know that even the fastest street legal muscle from the 60's does 13's at best, right? 3.7L Mustangs can do 13's. the 2011 GT500 can do 11's.

@shehri4life It's a reversed image. I don't think Ford makes a RHD Mustang, and if they do, they certainly wouldn't have used it in this test.

@ty922 You've also got cam profiles to take care of it. You've, stock, got both economy and race cam profiles. We've only got one compromise between the two, and have to make do. We've only got induction phasing with secondaries and variable timing, you've got variable timing and lift. Differ...
