About Me:

Happily married since age 18. Mother of three terrific kids, all in their 20's...time passes so quickly.

"Some of the nicest, most caring people I've met have been religious - from all sorts of different but incompatible creeds. I don't hate them. I just hate the sad facts that they are wrong, they waste their own time, and they want to grab my kids."
Geoff Mather

"I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own -- a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty."
Albert Einstein

"My conclusion is that there is no reason to believe any of the dogmas of traditional theology and, further, that there is no reason to wish that they were true. Man, in so far as he is not subject to natural forces, is free to work out his own destiny. The responsibility is his, and so is the opportunity."
Bertrand Russell

Are you never afraid of God's judgment in denying him?
"Most certainly not. I also deny Zeus and Jupiter and Odin and Brahma, but this causes me no qualms. I observe that a very large portion of the human race does not believe in God and suffers no visible punishment in consequence. And if there were a God, I think it very unlikely that He would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence."
Bertrand Russell

"The method of science is tried and true. It is not perfect, it's just the best we have. And to abandon it with its skeptical protocols is the pathway to a dark age."
Carl Sagan

"The doctrine of eternal punishment is in perfect harmony with the savagery of the men who made the orthodox creeds. It is in harmony with torture, with flaying alive, and with burnings. The men who burned their fellow-men for a moment, believed that God would burn his enemies forever."
Robert Green Ingersoll

"We have already compared the benefits of theology and science. When the theologian governed the world, it was covered with huts and hovels for the many, palaces and cathedrals for the few. To nearly all the children of men, reading and writing were unknown arts. The poor were clad in rags and skins -- they devoured crusts, and gnawed bones. The day of Science dawned, and the luxuries of a century ago are the necessities of to-day. Men in the middle ranks of life have more of the conveniences and elegancies than the princes and kings of the theological times. But above and over all this, is the development of mind. There is more of value in the brain of an average man of to-day -- of a master-mechanic, of a chemist, of a naturalist, of an inventor, than there was in the brain of the world four hundred years ago. These blessings did not fall from the skies. These benefits did not drop from the outstretched hands of priests. They were not found in cathedrals or behind altars -- neither were they searched for with holy candles. They were not discovered by the closed eyes of prayer, nor did they come in answer to superstitious supplication. They are the children of freedom, the gifts of reason, observation and experience -- and for them all, man is indebted to man."

You're welcome changeishere2008. Glad you liked the video.
As for your question, I believe in skepticism, in curiosity, in education and learning from experience. I believe it's necessary to interrogate what we are told to believe and realize that it's easy to be fooled and to fool ourselves as well. Lastly, I believe in living, loving and laughing as much as possible. I'm featuring a video that shows what I believe.

So what do you beleive in? If you don't beleive in God in Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Everyone has faith. It's impossible to be with out faith in something.
