A page filled with nonsense is at least more interesting than a blank sheet of paper. A canvas covered in garbage is more evocative than a canvas wrapped in cellophane. If you only shoot random crap with your video camera, you're at least keeping the battery in condition, and you'll train yourself to use the zoom button without having to look for it.
