I am one of the people who got #*$%ed over by Viacom's illegal copyright take-down notices, AFTER EFF.org claimed that they made a "settlement" w/ Viacom to protect our right to upload "fair use" clips from the Daily Show and Colbert Report.
EFF.org uses the "settlement" w/ Viacom to solicit donations even though they know that Viacom still breaks federal law and commits perjury in a successful effort to harass Youtubers into not posting clips from the Colbert Report and Daily Show.
ISN'T THAT WIRE FRAUD?
Less than 1 week after EFF's star lawyer, Cindy Cohn, appeared on The Colbert Report on 7/5/10, Viacom hit me w/ their 35th illegal take-down notice for my video "Newt Gingrich Is Evil." Worst of all, it was a "double block." The video had already been thru the counter-notice process and was verified as a "fair use" video clip for criticism.
Ultimate Irony
This clip of Cindy Cohn will eventually be hit w/ an illegal Viacom take-down notice.
EFF claims Cindy is one of America's top lawyers and cares about "fair use" rights, but she is really just an unethical hack who refuses to report Viacom's continuous acts of perjury.
