Easy, Easy !! Why so much fury ? Very original and virtuosic yet. If you want Gottschalk's first version of Souvenirs d'Andalousie, try his "Caprice Espagnol", newly available on gottschalk.fr.

Nice performance. Unusual tempo choice which changes the character of this rather dancing work. The acceleration at the second part makes it as a fiesta criolla gradually put up. What was the intention ?

Wonderful execution of this transcription. We feel all the dramatic, sorrow of this air (which is not limited to the miserere). The slow tempo and delicate playing of the beginning greatly improve the tension of the piece. Great job !!

Amazing fidelity for 1901 (110 ys old!!). A friend has the original record and I adjusted the "raw" transfer for this upload.

One of the best Gottschalk's composition (the melody is from his friend Nicolas Espadero). Very well played here with all the fall melancholy and lightness needed. Nice sound too !! The only published collection with this work is the Vera-Brodsky 5 volumes edition. You can find the Schott edition...
