About Me:

We declare the right of the people of Ireland to the ownership of Ireland, and to the unfettered control of Irish destinies, to be sovereign and indefeasible. The long usurpation of that right by a foreign people and government has not extinguished the right, nor can it ever be extinguished except by the destruction of the Irish people.

If nationality be regarded as the sum of the facts, spiritual and intellectual, which mark off one nation from another, and freedom as the condition which allows those facts full scope and development, it will be seen that both the spiritual and intellectual fact, nationality, and the physical condition, freedom, enter into a proper definition of independence or nationhood. Freedom is a condition which can be lost and won and lost again; nationality is a life which, if once lost, can never be recovered. A nation is a stubborn thing, very hard to kill; but a dead nation does not come back to life, any more than a dead man. There will never again be a Ligurian nation, nor an Aztec nation, nor a Cornish nation. Irish nationality is an ancient spiritual tradition, and the Irish nation could not die as long as that tradition lived in the heart of one faithful man or woman. But had the last repositor of the Gaelic tradition, the last unconquered Gael, died, the Irish nation was no more. Any free state that might thereafter be erected in Ireland, whatever it might call itself, would certainly not be the historic Irish nation.

@ PSYNIGRAGUA

They are no more retarded than the inhabitants of the Land of Dope and Jewry.
PSYNIGRAGUA (1 week ago)
Why are Irish people so retarded. Can they not do the math? E.g.: A steady rate of 150,000 immigrants per year = 3,000,000 in 20 years = Minority Irish in Ireland within one generation.

The standard response is, of course, "Oh that will never happen!"

California: 1970: 95% White >>> 2010: White Minority.

Re: "decisions...issued by INIS...178,000 cases...over 111,000 new or renewed registrations of permission to remain in the State"

PLUS EU-citizen migrants (many of whom are non-White &/or non-Christian)

PLUS their often higher birth-rates

Not to forget: Any of the Negroes and Pakis in the UK can move to go to NI any time (though they'd get a colder welcome there than in the eager-to-please ROI).

Overall in 2011, approximately 164,000 new applications (i.e. visa, residence, protection and citizenship) were received by Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS); decisions were issued by INIS in almost 178,000 cases (a proportion of decisions issued relate to applications submitted in previous years); and over 111,000 new or renewed registrations of permission to remain in the State were issued by the Garda National Immigration Bureau.

Naturalisation/citizenship
In 2011, major reforms were introduced to the processing of citizenship applications aimed at tackling the backlog of applications that had arisen due to the huge increase in the volume of naturalisation applications in recent years -- from 1,000 applications in the year 2000 to 25,671 in 2010, an almost 25-fold increase in the 10 year period.
