In 1982-85 I played drums for a band called "The Goodtimes Travelling Band". We were based in Champaign, IL. We played this song and "Searchin' For A Rainbow". These songs bring back some great memories. We did them PROUD!
This is my favourite Standells recording. This is the "Dirty Water" LP version. A couple of years ago I found a Standells CD called "The Best of the Standells" on the RHINO label. That CD has a RARI clip that is 5:03 minutes long. It's a pretty good CD!
Don't laugh, but I am still a HUGE Dave Clark 5 fan, and a former drummer. When I first heard this song I felt that the snare drum was GREAT! One of the best sounding snare drums in all of Rock 'N Roll!
Does anyone remember "Father Sabastian" by Lenny? I think it was released in the summer of '64.
