About Me:
In 1972, I got to vote against that bastard, knowing it was hopeless, since McGovern would have been a horrible president; all according to Nixon's plan. Muskie would have been the right man for the job. We didn't get rid of the SOB until I was 20 years old. And even then, Nixon didn't go to prison as he should have; he got a full presidential pension, and "elder statesman" status. I think that sums me up pretty well, in terms most should be able to comprehend.

I played bridge for many years, considered it as a profession, but ended up in Medical Technology which put a crimp in my playing time. At one time or another I've been into just about everything but nothing holds my interest forever. If I had taken up tennis at 7 instead of 17, I might have been a pro (oh well). I blew out a knee at 21 and that was that.
Movies:
Blade Runner, 2001 (a look at what should have been), Downfall, Enemy At The Gates, AI, Barry Lyndon, Harry Potters 1-3 & 6, (4 was really bad. 5 was OK, I guess, but I would have prefered a different approach), Master And Commander, The Godfather, The Hunt For Red October, Enemy At The Gates, (Gettysburg starts out being one of the greatest films ever, but it seems like they ran out of money in the middle of shooting it, so it's actually a pretty bad film.)
Music:
I came of age as the Disco Era began, and hated evey minute! I embraced Punk (the music, not the lifestyle) in the mid-70's and still listen to it. I also enjoy Classical, New Wave, and good old Rock 'n Roll. I don't listen to music much anymore, though. As we age, we lose the ability to hear much above 8 KHz, so nothing sounds as good as when I was young.
Books:
Favorite author is Gore Vidal, especially: Julian, Creation, Messiah, Lincoln, Burr. Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches series. Too many more to list.
