There are some B naturals there, including Bjoerling.

I disqualified those who transposed, though I really like Bjoerling's.

Patricia Racette - Marcello Giordani - Madama Butterfly - Act I (2)
Play List : http://www.youtube.com/play...
MET HD 2008 - 2009 蝶々夫人
Funny, I hear the wobble as well and in other roles such as Tosca. But when she sang in a concert in 2010 and sang Rusalka, it was quite lovely. I just think she needs to stick to more lyric rep. This is a tad heavy for her.

Marcello Giordani - Fille du Regiment - "Ah! mes amis" - 1996
Very good! Both "glitches" were on "flamme". I know what he was trying to do. They were not glitches, but rather tricks to engage the head voice. When tenors sob, in essence starting in head voice and then bringing in the chest register (the principal register in which men sing). By doing tha...

@MariaCallasLegend Absolutely. I was pointing out that as a 62 year old man, he was naturally husbanding his resources for the "big moments", such as the 2nd Act of Turandot, the 2nd Act of Ballo, etc. But he was still able to produce great beauty of tone, and power when needed. He will certain...

Dame Gwyneth Jones was nothing if not unafraid of a challenge. Here she is giving Norma a go.
@NEBESHIKU The term you're looking for is soprano sfogato. As are as I am concerned there are but a handful in history that fall into that category. One of them Giussepina Strepponi ruined her voice trying to sing Abigaille in Nabucco. I think we're too fixated on labels, rather than just allo...
