I guess noone noticed that if he hadn't split then the dealer's line about "I wouldve busted" is false...the player got a 10 and a 2 for the cards when he split if those went to the dealer and the dealer flipped a total of 6 then that makes 18 (6+12)... I'm also assuming he's at 3rd base or by hi...
