I don't see why it's a virtue to be "tolerant" of blatant error. Tolerance is for situations where there is no particular reason to favour one side over the other. I've already gone over why this is not an example of such a situation.

Very impressive.
I don't even mind the singing, obviously some of the high notes are problematic, but the rest of the time he actually makes this prog classic sound soulful - without wrecking it in the process. In fact, the whole band clearly gets the song. Great work.
