Dumbo is an american 1941 animated feature by Walt Disney. It was released on October 23, 1941. The feature was made for a small revenue of $812,000.The idea for Dumbo had been in the studio scince 1936, found on the side of a cereal box. Dumbo is consideded to have the simplest idea for a feature production ever. The film used the voice talents of some of Disneys most well known performers including Verna Felton and Sterling Holloway.

Dumbo was a large succsess during its release making a larger succsess than both Fantasia and Pinnoccio. Dumbo has 6 songs including "Look out for Mister Stork" "Casey Jr." "Song of the Roustabouts" "Baby Mine" "Pink Elephants on Parade" and "When i see an Elephant Fly." Walt Disney really puts imagination into Dumbo because of the Pink Elephants on Parade sequence, a flying elephant, and The Pyramid of Pachyderms. Even one of the posters for Dumbo says, " See what happens when Disney lets himself go!"

Dumbo has been releasing on home video since 1980. The film will be celabrating its 70th anniversary in October of 2011, and to help the celabration, Disney will be releasing the delayed Dumbo 70th anniversary september 20th . It will be the first time the film has ever been on Blu-ray HI-DEF.

Dumbo is considered one of Disneys finest films and will be cherished in the Disney and animation community forever.
