How to get a higher score in Tetris Splash and Facebook Tetris marathon game.
Ok, you need to understand how scoring works in Splash. Splash uses a variable goal system. If you do a single, you will take off a single line from the goal. Anything higher than a single though will take more lines from the goal than what is removed from the matrix.
Here is the breakdown of what each line clear removes from the goal:
Points gained is the base points listed multiplied by the current level you are on.
single : -1 from goal, 100 ponits
double: -3 from goal, 300 points
triple: -5 from goal, 500 points
tetris: -8 from goal. 800 points
t spin (no line clears): -4 from goal, 400 points
t spin single: -8 from goal, 800 poins
t spin double: -12 from goal, 1200 points
combo add's a 0.5 multiplier to the points gained for the line clear.
Now the idea for Splash to maximize your score is to do as many 1x combo's as possible. For level 1 you want to clear out two 1x combo's then set up for a T~spin. That will give you maximum points on level 1. Level 2 and beyond you want to bring your line count down to 9, then set up a Tetris and a T~spin. A tetris will remove 8 lines from the goal and bring it down to one remaining line. The T~spin would normally take 12 from the goal. Since you only have 1 line left untill the next level, it takes only the one line. It will not take the addition 11 lines from the next level's goal.
Here's an example: If you do two 1x combo's and a T~spin double on level one, you will get 1700 points. If you cleared a Tetris, you would only get 800 points.

I'm hoping I'll be able to use HDMI to capture: the Hauppauge uses Component but apparently, if I got an HDMI splitter, coupled with a VGA converter, it'll be possible for me to still play in HDMI and convert the digital signal to analogue (component).
I would just play through component instead but it sounds (and looks) grainy compared to HDMI.
I bought Peggle earlier, not very good at it yet though lol.
When can we expect your next video? :P
