Donald MacDonald (Dòmhnall MacDhòmhnaill)
Bi aig fois ann an sith / Rest in Peace
Donald's dad was a lamplighter from the Muir of Ord on the Black Isle. His mother wasfay Perth where he was born and raised. While it would be far from the truth to suggest that Donald and I have been on close terms since my return from spain there was a time when we were, and in his company I survived quite a few dark nights way down here in the belly of the beast. Ultimately, Donald was one of the most Scottish people I have ever encountered anywhere and a brave man with a heart that was big and good.
Those englishandwelsh people, black and white, (you know who you are) who called Donald a 'sweaty cock' and mocked and ridiculed him behind his back wont be able to do this anymore. They will have to turn their attentions to ME and to my opinions which , unfortunately for them, now don't come, more often than not, from the bottom of a bottle or the roach from my last spliff.
The RdL have already recognised Donald, he gets a namecheck on the back cover of our 'KitKat' e.p (bs.03) and in another YT upload I recall the time that the two of us drove deep into wallyworld to watch Albaroot play a blinding gig in an otherwise almost empty pub in bristol.

AS LONG AS 100 OF US ARE LEFT ALIVE.......
In England, which has a population of approximately 50,000,000 people, the combined number of coloured immigrants and their descendants is still considerably less than 10% of the population, and the immigrants are from exceedingly diverse backgrounds with considerable pressure on them to assimilate to the English language, culture and way of life.
In Scotland the situation is almost in reverse.
For the RdL the key issue is not simply Independence but national survival or national extinction.
There are already parts of rural Scotland, some parts of Argyllshire for instance, where there is no significant Scottish population left. English people and their unassimilated offspring make up the bulk of the population. And, of course, English immigration is still increasing, while the takeover of property and businesses is also increasing.
If some campaigners against English immigration see this situation as "accidentally" arising, the RdL and others most certainly do not.
Although the RdL prefers to refer to the English immigrants as "colonists" , the widespread use in Scotland of the expression "white settlers", to describe English immigrants, is also an ironic but pointed self-reference by those who deliberately identify themselves, not just as "locals", but particularly as "black natives"
