This is the best live version that I've found. Fantastic attack, brilliant vocal. It also has a stronger guitar than the studio version. Best song of the 00's.

This is George Michael's career defining moment. When I think of him, I think of this first. If he can sing and perform like this, one can only ask what he has been doing with the rest of career. A great singer regularly bent in the service of second rate material. This is an inspired performance.

Not only is this one of the great songs, i've never, ever, seen a better video. It's just about perfect and endlessly watchable. I love the dance under the window as the water falls. The whole things is like watching some glorious dream amalgam of Casablanca and West Side Story.

You have to be touched by genius to write a song as beautiful as this.

It's a big, anthemic, catchy, inoffensive pop song. It's crap, of course, but the BBC have decided the public can't pick the right song so they've tried to do it themselves. I think this has a fair chance of not finishing last.

@magpiefabric Accelerate was indeed their best since New Adventures, but given the competition is the likes of Up, Reveal and Around the Sun, that's not really saying much.

Even though he is a better guitar player than any of us could ever be in our dreams, I have to say that wasn't Jimmy's best solo. It lacked fluidity and was a bit long-winded. Still, it's an awesome song anyway.

Regardless of whether he wins, Matt is by far the best talent on this year's show.

This was brilliant. Would have been even better if it had been just him and his guitar, minus the backing track.

It's hardly ever mentioned, but SRV could sing as good as he could play.
