I love the look and feel of Italian folders but it seems you get not very good blade steel for the price. An example is that while the touch has 440 and different wood options, for the same price you could get a Lone Wolf Swale with n690 and burlwood scales.

You cannot compare 2 knife steels. Each knife steel has different attributes, but a single knife cannot have all the attributes, ex: if it has good strength, then it will be hard to sharpen. Different steels are good for different things.
