Yeah pretty scary right? Thats y maybe the kendoka's strike was THAT bad...he was terrified of having his eye poked out! If he had done a proper cut the poor fencing bloke would have had quite a nasty head ache hehe

Wen i got my 1stdan my mate n i did this same thing, me with my shinia and her with her naginata (sorry i dont no if the practice one has a dif name! :o) ) It was really fun but I lost...totaly lol Then my sensai totaly owned her by simply getting right up close so she cldnt hit him. lol Luv this vid btw :o) and LUV kendo!! <3 Keep your guard up!

Neither of them scored right? I'm a 1st dan in kendo and that was awful 'men' cut but the fencing guy hit below the 'do'....so that doesnt count...right? Any idea what dan the kendoka was? Because he should have had more control and got right in there. I dont no but those masks the other guys ware cant offer much padding and a proper men cut hurts! Even with the proper armour lol Aww I could have done better :oP hehe
