SOME OF MY THOUGHTS:
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :
MY DESIRE
I would that I could strip away the mendacious veil that covers the eyes of the faithful, with soothing words so reasonable that even the meanest of gods would melt into obscurity.
****************************** ***********
RELIGION
Religion declares knowledge that is impossible to know, boasts of powers it does not have and claims moral authority it does not deserve.
.............................. .............................. .....
FAITH
To the believer - faith is a ticket to godhood.
But to me - faith binds the believer in a mental trap that shuts off intellectual inquiry.
It is an illusion making machine that never allows evidence to undermine its certainty.
.............................. .............................
WHY I WANT TO BE LIKE CHRISTOPHER HITCHENS:
He speaks truth to power, and does not flinch or look away. He defies religious zealots by exposing the soft under belly of their argument and then publicly disembowels their certainty. He insults the meanness of the righteous, and the ignorance of the faithful. He is an intellectual gladiator who inspires me to inter the arena.
.............................. .............................. .....
THE QUESTION
A reasonable person expects evidence, you do know this don't you?
.............................. .............................. .....
THE WARNING
Never underestimate the viciousness of the righteous.

QUOTES
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::
"We make our world significant by
The courage of our questions and by the depth of our answers."
Carl Sagan
.............................. .............................. ........
"That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence".
Christopher Hitchens

this?" And all they can really do is just shrug their shoulders and respond with a "Well, I don't care what the evidence is, I still believe in God." Sucks even more is that, she is going to have a baby soon and will be spreading her prejudices and ignorance to the next generation of young minds.
Thank you for leaving a comment on my page. If that cultural shift happens while I'm old and alive, it will be the greatest movement in the history of man: To be done with religion.
