Too address the "design" so many seem to think exists. The reason we see patterns is because we are looking for them and thus they appear even if they don't exist at all. For example this "proof" of god:

God is three in one, and 3 and 1 is 4 and the fourth Gospel is that of John. Take the verse John 3:13. "No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man."

Take the word "G O D" and subtract 3 from the first letter, 1 from the second and 3 from the last and you get: "D N A."

NO it doesn't! The example was deliberately constructed to give this false impression. You are seeking a pattern where none exists and a small nudge in the right directions makes you form a pattern. (Posted 2011-09-26)

You state that "positivism" is irrational. Sorry are you really sitting at a computer which is run by electricity and using the internet, and now you are saying that the method that developed these things is "irrational"?!

The reason that we use science is because it works. It is evidence based and it has given us the first world society you live in. Its track record shows that it is the best way of uncovering the processes by which both physical and human events occur.

Can you honestly say that there is another way which has a better track record than science? If so name it and tell me what it has uncovered.
